The weather in Ecuador is affected by two currents, El Niño (warm, the first half of the year) and Humboldt (cold the second half of the year). Therefore, December to May will be the sunny and warm season, and June to October will be the cold season and humpback whales watching.

This tour includes the following activities:
Atahualpa: An Old carpenter’s town
Ancón: A town where in the early part of the twentieth century the British pumped oil. We’ll visit a small museum with memorabilia of that era.
Birdwatching on the west side of Salinas at the actual “salinas” (salt mines)
Then finally we reached Salinas Beach, the most sophisticated resorts of the Ecuadorian coast, and admired “The Chocolatera”. These cliffs will seduce your cameras to get the impressive pictures.
At Salinas instead of beach activities we will embark on a Humpback Whale watching trip right out of the coast of Salinas.
Humpbacks come all the way from Antarctica every year and between the months of June until late October there´ll be the mating site. Those who mated the year before, will come to this rather warm waters to give birth and during this five months raise and feed their Young getting them ready for the long trip back to Antarctica.
